Tsering’s Joy of Living, a 52-minute documentary film was premiered in Mcleod Ganj in July 2006. The real and inspiring story has touched many people during the screening that, it was successful in raising some donations to buy dog foods, and clothes for the poor Ani (nun) Sonam Tsering, on whose life the story was based. Despite her age, as a septuagenarian, she still takes care of the dogs. Today, Ani's small home has become real abode of the street dogs, taking care of more than 10 dogs everyday like her own children.

Kelsang Tsering Khangsar, the director of the film has worked in several film projects including some Tibetan and international films. Tsering has worked as the Assistant director in the upcoming Tibetan feature film — Richard Gere is my hero, which was directed by Tashi Wangchuk and Tsultrim Dorjee. He even briefly worked in casting Tibetans in the recently (Jan 2007) shot Hollywood film — The Darjeeling Ltd. in Udaipur. This Hollywood film was directed by Wes Anderson with the main casts like Owen Wilson, Adrien Broody, Jason Schwartzman and Anjelica Huston.
