Tenzin Jangchup wins Grand Jury Prize

MCLEOD GANJ, India, 18 December 2007 — Tenzin Jangchup, a Tibetan filmmaker from Montreal, Canada, has won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Documentary in the "Digital Diversity" a competition of short films and podcasts on the theme of immigration.

The project was started by Radio Canada in September 2007. It was open to all Canadian residents.

Jangchup's film was titled A Brief History of Life. He will receive a Handycam worth 4,600 Canadian Dollars in prize.
