McLEOD GANJ, India, 2 October 2019

The preparations have been going on full swing since a couple of months, and now we are getting close to what needs to be done. We still don’t have sponsors though. Any generosity would be welcome!

We raised the film entry fees this year, but haven’t been too greedy. It was a reasonable $30 for films more than half hour, $20 for up to 30 mins, and $15 for less than ten mins. Nevertheless we received an overwhelming submissions through FilmFreeway. We had a hard time choosing again, having to leave many out.

Congratulations to all that made it into our festival. The audience will be thrilled to see all those beautiful stories illustrated with wonderful images, imaginations, and illusions. Thank you for your hard work from all the great filmmakers.

It is well known that the Free Spirit Film Festival is perhaps the smallest film festival in the world. But due to the hard work of our staff members, it is a labour of love for all of us at the FSFF, and we promise to produce yet another sweet edition at the end of this month — 29 to 31 October 6 pm, at the Community Centre, Bhagsu Road, McLeod Ganj. Rs 200 per evening.

Please mark the dates, and be with us for some great moments and memories.

Yours,
Lobsang Wangyal
