Tsultrim Dorjee
After completing his formal study at the Central School for Tibetan, Mussoorie, Tsultrim served in the Tibetan civil service for thirteen years. He then completed his Graduate degree in digital filmmaking from Bharatiya Vidhya Bhawan, Bangalore, where he was among the top in his class.
He has to his credit a co-directorial venture "Phun Anu Thanu" - Two Exile Brothers and a short feature "Little Monk". He also cinematographed a short digital feature by Surinder Vodekar, "Prema".
Democracy in Exile: Tibet at Crossroads a Doordarshan (Indian national TV) commissioned 30-minute documentary film by Dorjee and his co-director Tashi Wangchuk was broadcast on Doordarshan's DD News on 29 July 2006.
He is currently working on a Doordarshan commissioned documentary film: "TIBET: At Crossroads". His next project is another digital feature film about four exile friends, which will be shot in Dharamshala, India.
Currently, he is working on a monthly comedy serial The great Tibetan laughter show and a feature film Richard Gere is my hero a feature film. The shooting of the feature on standard high definition format is likely to take place in October in Dharamshala.
Dorjee toured eleven cities in the US in June and July 2006 screening their first feature film Phun Anu Thanu. The Tibet Fund, New York and the other Tibetan NGOs of the respective places helped organise the screenings.
